Estonian guitarist Jaak Sooäär and Finnish saxophonist Mikko Innanen met more than twenty years ago in Copenhagen and have played together in several different groups. They have also released an album with legendary Dutch drummer Han Bennink (“Spring Odyssey” (TUM Records). Mikko Innanen is one of the most well-known jazz saxophonists in North Europe and Jaak Sooäär is one of the most active jazz musicians in Estonia. The music of the duo is not stylistically clearly defined, besides their own compositions Sooäär and Innanen play music by famous American jazz legends Thelonious Monk and Charles Mingus and also well-known songs from famous Estonian singer Georg Ots.
