Harald Trass is one of the most exciting rising talents in the world of classical guitar. His musical journey began in 2010 at Nõmme Music School under the guidance of Martin Kööbi, followed by advanced studies at the Tallinn Music High School with renowned pedagogues Vahur Kubja and Kirill Ogorodnikov. Since 2021, he has been honing his artistry in Germany at the prestigious Cologne University of Music and Dance, studying under Prof. Gerhard Reichenbach.
A dynamic and expressive performer, Harald has refined his craft in masterclasses with internationally acclaimed guitarists such as Roberto Aussel, Rémi Boucher, and Dale Kavanagh. He has captivated audiences both as a soloist and ensemble musician, appearing on stage with orchestras and presenting compelling solo recitals across Germany.
Harald’s exceptional talent has been recognized at numerous international competitions. His accolades include 1st prize at “Best Young Instrumentalist 2018,” 1st prize at the Baltic Guitar Competition (2019), and top prizes at major international events in Vilnius (2020), Jüchen (2023), and Cologne (2024). In 2024, he was selected for the highly regarded Estonian Concert mentorship program LIFT.
Continuing his ascent on the international stage, Harald reached the second round of the prestigious Koblenz Guitar Competition in 2025—one of the world’s most respected platforms for classical guitarists. That same year, he secured 2nd prize at the renowned “Klassikatähed 2025” competition.
